Terms of use
Plain terms for reading the site, using its data and posting in the field notes. The short version: quote with a link, do not scrape, treat every figure as a record of one run, and gamble only where you legally can.
1. Scope
- These terms apply to slotester.com and everything published on it: reviews, data files, images, video, documentation pages and the field-notes threads.
- By reading the site you accept them. If you disagree with any clause, the remedy is not to use the site.
- The site is operated under the name Slotester Lab. Contact details are on the contact page.
2. Nature of the content
- Every figure on a review page describes one test run performed by the lab on a provider's demo server on the stated date. It is a record of that run, not a property of the game and not a forecast of any session you play.
- Nothing on the site is advice to gamble, financial advice or a recommendation of any operator. Verdicts are the lab's opinion of the measured data.
- Reviews are drafted by software from the logged data and edited by a person. Where a figure and the log disagree, the log is authoritative and the page will be corrected.
3. What you may do with the data and the text
the lab's licence to readers| Material | Allowed | Conditions |
|---|---|---|
| Spin logs (rounds.jsonl) and buy logs | Download, analyse, recompute, quote figures, use in research or articles. | Name the source and link the review page. Do not present a modified file as the lab's original; the checksum on the page is the reference. |
| Numbers and short quotations from reviews | Quote up to a paragraph with attribution, in any medium. | Link to the review. Keep the confidence interval or the "one run" caveat when you quote an RTP figure. |
| Full review texts, charts, screenshots, video | Read, share links, embed a link preview. | No wholesale copying, mirroring, scraping into datasets, or reposting the media. Ask for anything beyond a quotation. |
| Game artwork and demo games | Belongs to the game studio; the lab only displays it. | Any reuse is governed by the studio's terms, not by the lab. |
- Automated bulk access that puts load on the site or on the game studios' demo servers is not permitted. The data files exist so that you do not need to scrape pages.
4. Field notes
the public thread under each review- You may post what a game did in your session, with a screenshot if you like. By posting you grant the lab a non-exclusive right to display the note and the image on the review page for as long as the page exists.
- Notes containing casino links, promotional codes, spam, abuse, personal data of third parties or material you do not own are removed without notice. Repeat posters are blocked.
- Notes are moderated before they appear. The lab may shorten a note for length or remove an image that is not a screenshot of the game. You can ask for your note to be deleted at any time.
5. Demo games and third parties
- Demo games are loaded from the game studio's servers when you press play. The lab does not host, alter or guarantee them, and their availability can change without notice.
- Casino links, where present, lead to independent operators with their own terms, licences and jurisdictions. The lab is not a party to anything that happens on an operator's site. Use them only if you are of legal age and gambling is legal where you are.
6. No warranty, limited liability
- The site and its data are provided as they are. The lab works to keep figures correct and reproducible, but does not warrant that the site is error-free, uninterrupted or fit for a particular purpose.
- To the extent permitted by law, the lab is not liable for losses arising from reliance on the site, from gambling decisions, or from third-party services linked from it.
7. Changes and contact
- These terms may change when the site changes. The date at the top of this page is the date of the current version; material changes are listed on the About page timeline.
- Questions about the terms go to the lab address on the contact page. Contact
