A reel-five Scatter extends Walk The Line by two spins, or three if split, and upgrades the remaining spins to The Chair. Only round 6333 received such an addition in this run. Split Scatters at entry instead produced one ten-spin and three nine-spin natural starts, plus four nine-spin purchases; those bigger starting awards are not counted as extensions.

How it plays
21 rules screens from the gameBars initially cover most of the field, leaving two positions on each of the first four reels and none on the fifth: 16 ways. Wins require matching symbols on neighboring reels, starting at reel one and continuing across at least three. Wilds, Scatters, xWays and xSplit landing on an open position unlock the nearest cell above and below themselves, while Cockroaches open the cells they visit. The physical field can reach 4-6-6-6-4 positions, giving 3,456 ways before symbols divide.
An xWays reveal puts two to four copies of one paying symbol into a position. xSplit doubles the symbols across its entire row and becomes two Wilds itself; splitting a Scatter adds one starting free spin, while splitting a Nest adds one to its multiplier. Each Cockroach contributes its level to the positions along its route, and simultaneous Cockroach visits turn the affected cell into a Wild. Those position values combine with symbol splits when the game counts paying ways.
Walk The Line supplies at least one Cockroach per spin, starting with at least eight spins after a three-Scatter trigger; four Scatters award The Chair with at least eight spins and a minimum of three Cockroaches per spin. Walk The Line starts each spin with a 2-4-4-4-2 field, whereas The Chair starts at 4-4-4-4-4. A Nest visited during either feature upgrades that Cockroach through levels 1, 2, 3 and 10, and a two-egg Nest can also clone one extra Cockroach once per bonus mode. These levels persist for the rest of the bonus.
During Walk The Line, a Scatter on reel five adds two spins, or three when split, and changes the remaining spins to The Chair. The upgrade retains the Cockroach levels already earned; the rules describe reel-five Scatter extensions only for Walk The Line. Direct entry costs 68x the base stake for Walk The Line or 1,500x for The Chair, and three Lucky Draw tickets at 82x, 355x and 784x give a 1%, 20% or 50% chance of The Chair instead of Walk The Line. ToastBet instead raises the ordinary stake by 20% to guarantee a Scatter on reel two.
The measured ordinary mode uses 96.07% theoretical RTP, and its Walk The Line purchase has a separate 96.36% profile. Direct The Chair entry is 96.31%, while ToastBet is 96.03%; neither mode has a separate measured series here. The ordinary bet limits are EUR 0.20–100; reaching 75,000x ends the round. Nolimit City assigns Extreme volatility, rated 10.0, and gives a simulated maximum-win frequency of one in 6.5 million rounds.

Verdict
The first Chair spin after the upgradeSeven Walk The Line spins had accumulated EUR 34.70 when a fifth-reel Scatter changed the feature in ordinary round 6333. It added two spins and upgraded the three remaining turns to The Chair. The next turn alone paid EUR 9,660, followed by EUR 13.60 and EUR 10.50, bringing the complete ten-spin bonus to EUR 9,718.80. Its triggering spin had paid nothing.
That one round paid EUR 9,718.80 of the EUR 18,123.40 returned by 10,000 ordinary EUR 1 rounds, which is why the series finished at 181.23%; without it the series would have finished at 84.05%. Of those 10,000 rounds, 7,661 returned zero, and the median payout among rounds that did pay was EUR 0.60. All 63 natural features entered Walk The Line, with round 6333 supplying the only Chair upgrade; the separate fifty-ticket sample stayed entirely in Walk The Line, including its largest EUR 1,060.60 result from ticket 20.
On the first Chair spin, matching dark-haired prisoners and substituting Wilds counted as 2, 12, 20, 3 and 4 instances across the five reels. Multiplying those counts produces 5,760 paying ways, each worth EUR 1 at the tested stake. Kings contributed another EUR 3,840, Queens EUR 20 and Tens EUR 40 to the same EUR 9,660 spin.
- A reel-five Scatter can turn an ordinary Walk The Line entry into The Chair, as one natural feature showed
- Split Scatters at entry lengthened four natural features to nine or ten spins
- Eight Walk The Line spins in ordinary round 7675 paid EUR 298.60 without a Chair upgrade
- The fifty EUR 68 purchases produced zero Chair upgrades
- The smallest purchased result was EUR 6 after eight spins
- A 32-round stretch of ordinary play produced no payout

10000 ordinary paid rounds, including naturally triggered features, at a fixed EUR 1.0 bet; 50 bonus buys at 68.0 each (68.0x); mode: EUR 1 ordinary demo stakes, with ToastBet switched off. Naturally triggered Walk The Line and The Chair features remain within their triggering ordinary rounds. The separate purchase series contains fifty EUR 68 Walk The Line tickets, using the 96.36% theoretical purchase RTP. No direct EUR 1,500 The Chair tickets or Lucky Draw purchases were sampled. Browser photographs and the recorded EUR 68 ticket are independent media sessions, excluded from both statistical samples. on the official Nolimit City demo server (jurisdiction DEFAULT, RTP profile 96.07%); every request and response logged; test run 2026-10-03.

FAQ
6 questions · answered from the logCan symbol splits exceed the advertised physical ways count?
Yes. Opening every physical position gives 3,456 ways, but symbol copies and Cockroach position values multiply that: in round 6333 the dark-haired prisoner win alone counted 2 x 12 x 20 x 3 x 4 = 5,760 ways, including substituting Wilds, and paid EUR 5,760 at a EUR 1 stake.
Did the EUR 9,660 spin require maximum-level Cockroaches?
No Nest upgrades occurred during that ten-spin feature, so the Cockroaches retained their starting level of 1. Their visits could still build larger position values: on free spin 8, the upper Wild cell of reel three combined three symbol copies with a x3 position value, counting nine instances. Across that spin the largest Cockroach position value was x4; it was not a x10-level Cockroach bonus.
Why are the nine-spin purchases not counted as retriggers?
Nine spins were awarded at entry to four of the 50 Walk The Line tickets because a starting Scatter was split; the other 46 began with eight. None received additional spins after entry, so the measured extension share is zero. A larger starting award and an extension during the feature are recorded separately.
Why does Folsom Prison show 181% RTP in this demo test when the game lists 96.07%?
Because of a single round. Round 6333 paid EUR 9,718.80 on a EUR 1 stake, more than half of the EUR 18,123.40 returned across 10,000 ordinary rounds; without it the series would have finished at 84.05%. The 95% confidence interval, -9.75% to 372.22%, is a normal-approximation range for the uncertain sample mean, not a forecast, and its negative lower bound does not mean a payout can be negative.
Did buying Walk The Line recover its cost in this run?
No. The 50 Walk The Line tickets cost EUR 3,400 and returned EUR 3,015.20, an 88.68% measured return; 42 of them paid less than the EUR 68 price, with a median return of EUR 27.60 per ticket, or 0.406x. These figures describe the EUR 68 entry, not the EUR 1,500 direct Chair purchase.
Does Folsom Prison trigger free spins often, and can The Chair come without buying it?
Fairly often: Walk The Line triggered 63 times in 10,000 ordinary EUR 1 rounds, about once per 159; the longest wait was 734 rounds, between rounds 2644 and 3379. The Chair came once, and only through an upgrade: none of the 63 features started there, and in round 6333 a reel-five Scatter on Walk The Line spin 7 added two spins and turned the last three into Chair spins.
