REC · NATURAL TRIGGER

Natural free spins caught on media spin 67: FUN 105 returned from 10 spins. Recorded in a separate browser session, outside the statistical samples.

Across the whole run the 73 natural bonuses split into 15 under 20x, 23 between 20x and 50x, 21 between 50x and 100x and 14 at 100x or more, and together they made up 66% of everything the game returned. The wait between two triggers ran from 5 to 319 spins. Payout figures here are FS-only, in ordinary stakes; the trigger payout is excluded.

Three Wild symbols inside the feature add 10 spins. The share counts rounds that ran past their 10-spin start; the 99-Wild meter opens a separate round and is not a retrigger.

How it plays

15 rules screens from the game

Book of 99 is a five-reel, three-row book slot with 10 fixed lines that pay from the left. The explorer tops the table at 500x the stake for five on a line, the sorceress pays 200x, the ogre and the horned sorceress 75x, and the five card royals 10x to 15x; two of the top four symbols already pay. The Wild stands in for every symbol and is also the trigger: three or more anywhere start 10 free spins, and the same three Wilds award 10 more inside the feature.

The second road to the feature is the meter beside the reels. Every Wild that lands in ordinary play adds one, and at 99 the game opens a separate 10-spin round and resets the count, keeping any surplus. In the logged series 3,691 Wilds arrived, 0.37 per spin, so the meter filled every 224 to 333 spins, 37 times in all, while three Wilds on one screen came 36 times with gaps from 7 to 1,069 spins.

At the start of each free-spin round one of the nine paying symbols is drawn at random as the special symbol. Whenever enough of it lands, two for a high symbol or three for a royal, it expands over its reels and pays on all 10 lines regardless of position, after the ordinary line wins of that spin. Which symbol is drawn decides the round: in this series the explorer averaged 666x per round over eight draws, the queen 34x over eight.

The rules print a 99.00% return, a 12,075x cap and a stake range of FUN 0.10 to FUN 100 per spin. This demo carries no bonus purchase and no ante option.

Verdict

Same full screen, fifty times the money

The series returned 137.22% of stake against the 99% in the rules, and one round explains the gap: round 1956 paid FUN 10,088, 5,044x, after the explorer was drawn as the special symbol and covered all fifteen positions on the fourth free spin, ten lines of five at 500x each. Without that round the other 9,999 spins returned 86.78%. The approximate 95% band, 37.6 to 236.9%, is the widest the lab has printed, which is what a single 5,000x round does to the arithmetic.

The two roads to the feature paid differently. The 37 rounds opened by the meter came like clockwork, one per 224 to 333 spins, and averaged 51x the stake with a 37.5x median; the 36 rounds opened by three Wilds averaged 199x, or 56x without round 1956, with gaps from 7 to 1,069 spins. Five rounds on each road retriggered, the longest ran 30 spins from round 590, and 15 of the 73 rounds paid under 20x.

Ordinary play is a delivery service. Something paid on 29.6% of ordinary spins, mostly at 0.5x, no ordinary spin passed 101x, and the balance sat 178 stakes below the start before spin 1956 lifted it 5,043 stakes in one round. Expansions are the money: 736 of the 860 free spins expanded at least one reel and those pays were 59.8% of everything the series returned. Three expansions covered the whole screen, and the two that drew a royal, the 10 on round 7201 and the jack on round 9497, paid FUN 200 apiece against FUN 10,000 for the explorer.

Measured upsides
  • Free spins came 73 times in 10,000 spins, one per 137, with the meter delivering a round every 224 to 333 spins on its own
  • A single full-screen explorer expansion paid 5,044x on round 1956; the cap sits at 12,075x
  • Ordinary spins paid on 29.6% of attempts and the longest drought was 18 spins
  • Every free-spin round is logged with its drawn symbol, expansions and retriggers
Measured downsides
  • The special symbol is a random draw: eight explorer rounds averaged 666x, eight queen rounds 34x
  • Take out round 1956 and the series returned 86.78%, twelve points under the printed 99%
  • No ordinary spin passed 101x; 32.9% of the return came from the base game
  • No bonus purchase and no ante option here, and fifty stakes lasted only 69 spins

FAQ

8 questions · answered from the log
Book of 99 RTP: does the demo really pay 99%?
Lab answer

The logged series returned 137.22% at FUN 2, with an approximate 95% band of 37.6 to 236.9% around the 99.00% printed in the rules. One round, 5,044x on spin 1956, carried the surplus; the remaining 9,999 spins returned 86.78%. A single run cannot confirm or deny the 99% figure.

The 99 Wild meter: how is it filled?
Lab answer

Each Wild in ordinary play adds one to the meter, and at 99 a separate 10-spin free-spin round starts. Wilds landed 3,691 times in 10,000 spins, 0.37 per spin, so the meter filled 37 times, once every 224 to 333 spins; those rounds averaged 51x the stake with a 37.5x median.

Three Wilds or the meter: which pays more?
Lab answer

In this series the 36 rounds from three Wilds averaged 199x the stake and the 37 meter rounds 51x, but the difference is one round: without the 5,044x on spin 1956 the Wild-triggered rounds averaged 56x. Both roads open the same 10-spin feature with a random special symbol, and five rounds on each road retriggered.

What happened on the 5,044x round?
Lab answer

Three Wilds on spin 1956 opened the feature with the explorer as the special symbol. Spin two expanded reels four and five for FUN 20, spin four landed the explorer on all five reels and paid FUN 10,000, ten lines of five at 500x, and the remaining spins added FUN 62. The balance went from FUN 4,815 to FUN 14,901 in that round.

Does the drawn symbol matter that much?
Lab answer

It decides the round. Across 73 rounds the explorer was drawn eight times and averaged 666x, the jack twelve times at 52.5x, the queen eight times at 34x. Three expansions covered the whole screen: the explorer's paid FUN 10,000, the jack's on round 9497 and the 10's on round 7201 paid FUN 200 each.

How often do the free spins retrigger?
Lab answer

Ten of the 73 rounds did, five from each trigger road: three Wilds inside the feature add 10 spins. Round 590 ran 30 spins and paid 77.5x; four rounds ran 20 spins. In total the 73 rounds played 860 free spins, and 736 of them expanded at least one reel.

Book of 99 bonus buy: does it exist?
Lab answer

No. The demo offers neither a purchase option nor an ante bet, and its rules carry one return figure, 99.00%. The meter is the substitute: a guaranteed round every 224 to 333 spins in this series at FUN 2 per spin, 37 of them in 10,000 spins.

How dry is the base game?
Lab answer

Not very, but thin: ordinary spins paid on 29.6% of attempts, the median hit was 0.5x, the longest drought was 18 spins from round 1654, and no ordinary spin passed 101x. Base-game wins were 32.9% of the return; the balance dipped to 178 stakes down on spin 1699 before the record round.
