Extra Khonsu Merge Up free spins come from the progress bar alone: every segment completed by four paying chain steps adds two, up to six segments, and not one scatter appeared in the 1,626 free spins played, natural and bought. The 98% leaves out the opening 8 or 10 spins: it is 49 of the 50 bought rounds completing at least one segment, 304 added spins in all, with ticket 10 the only one left at its opening 8.

How it plays
20 rules screens from the game
Ways pay across the six-by-four grid of Khonsu Merge Up, 4,096 of them while every cell holds one symbol: a symbol wins when it lands on reel 1 and on each next reel in an unbroken run of at least three reels, wins on different ways are added together, and a way pays just its best combination. Six pharaohs in the gold frame pay 5x the total bet, six purple werewolves 3x, vampires 2.2x, snakes 1.8x, blue wolves 1.6x and bats 1.4x, and the card ranks from A to 9 return 0.5x to 1.2x for six. A Wild can take the place of any paying symbol, never the scatter, and a Split symbol, which can land only on reels 2 to 5, breaks into as many as six identical symbols in smaller cells, so on 2,141 of the 10,000 opening boards the ways count rose above 4,096, most often to 5,120 or 6,144. The game rates ordinary play at 97.03% RTP and stops a round at 10,000x the bet, with the game data putting the odds of that top win at 1 in 896,861.
Every win starts a Refill: the paid symbols disappear, the rest drop, empty cells fill from above, and the chain repeats until no new win forms, with the money credited once it is over. Khonsu holds the multiplier, x1 for the first win of a spin, x2 after the first Refill and 2 more for each Refill after that, applied to what that Refill pays. Merge Up turns the symbols of each paid combination into one higher-value symbol placed in one of the emptied cells.
At a FUN 2.00 bet the buy menu holds five options: Chance x5 for FUN 6 and Chance x10 for FUN 18, which raise the odds of a natural bonus on the following spins, Free spins for FUN 200, Random free spins for FUN 280 and Super free spins for FUN 500. The rules rate them at 97.17% and 97.11% for the two Chance options, 97.21% for Free Spins, 97.22% for Super Free Spins and 97.2% for Random Free Spins. The total bet runs from FUN 0.10 to FUN 25.00. Free spins, the option used for this test, opens the regular round as if three or four scatters had landed, Random free spins gives either variant, and Super free spins the stronger one.
Three or four scatters start Free Spins with 8 or 10 spins, five or six start Super Free Spins with 12 or 14. In both, the bar to the left of the reels fills a quarter of a segment with each paying step of a free spin's chain, and a full segment adds 2 free spins and gives that segment's symbol a power that lasts to the final spin, Split in Free Spins and Wild in Super Free Spins. With six segments a round can grow by 12 spins at most, and progress is kept from one free spin to the next.

Verdict
Only three bonuses filled the bar
Round 3065 strung six paying steps into one chain, Khonsu's multiplier reached x10, and the spin paid FUN 100.40, 50.2x the FUN 2.00 stake, with no bonus involved; no other ordinary spin climbed that far. Even a second paying step was uncommon: 837 of the 9,939 ordinary rounds that started no bonus won on at least one Refill, yet those spins supplied 34.84% of everything the series paid. The largest win outside free spins came from a shorter chain, 110.8x on round 4853.
Extra spins from the bar reached 59 of the 61 natural bonuses, adding 330 to the 568 that scatters had awarded, and the spins beyond each opening award paid 47.78% of the FUN 9,322.20 these whole rounds returned. Rounds 5685 and 7207 never completed a segment and stopped at 4.4x and 1.6x the stake. Round 5000 was the only natural bonus to complete all six: its Super Free Spins opened with 12 spins, ran to 24 and paid 497.7x, FUN 995.40, more than any other ordinary round.
Tickets 46 and 9, the two best of the 50 FUN 200 purchases at FUN 1,050.60 and FUN 1,008.60, were also the only ones to complete the bar, going from 10 to 22 and from 8 to 20 spins. All 19 tickets that finished on 12 spins or fewer came back under FUN 200, 0.3487x the price together, while the 31 that reached 14 or more returned 1.6413x, though 11 of them still fell below it. The 304 spins the bar added to bought rounds paid FUN 5,821.20 of their FUN 11,501.00, 50.61%.
- All six bar segments filled in round 5000, the 497.7x Super Free Spins round that led the series
- Tickets 46 and 9 each returned more than five times the FUN 200 price
- Spins that won on at least one Refill paid 34.84% of all ordinary-series payouts
- 49 of the 50 bought rounds earned at least one +2 award from the bar
- Tickets 10 and 45 came back with FUN 1.60 and FUN 9.60 for their FUN 200
- Just FUN 3.20, 1.6x the stake, came from round 7207's natural bonus, which never left its opening 8 spins
- Without a single win, 510 of the 898 natural free spins came and went

FAQ
7 questions · answered from the log
In Khonsu Merge Up free spins, what adds the extra spins?
Each paying step of a free spin's Refill chain fills a quarter of one of the bar's six segments, and a completed segment adds 2 free spins and gives its symbol Split power in Free Spins or Wild power in Super Free Spins. Across the 61 natural bonuses of the test the bar added 330 spins to the 568 awarded by scatters, and only round 5000 completed all six, finishing on 24 spins instead of 12.
Khonsu Merge Up bonus buys at FUN 200: what came back from fifty?
The 50 purchases at a FUN 2.00 bet cost FUN 10,000 and returned FUN 11,501, 115.01% of the price, but 30 of them paid less than FUN 200 and the median ticket brought FUN 150.70, 0.754x. Ticket 46 led with FUN 1,050.60, and once it is set aside the remaining 49 averaged 1.0664x the price.
How far is the Khonsu Merge Up demo result from its 97.03% RTP?
FUN 19,128.80 came back from FUN 20,000 staked at FUN 2.00, 95.64%, or 1.39 points under the 97.03% in the rules. Ten thousand rounds still leave a wide approximate 95% CI, 77.66% to 113.63%, so the gap says little, and natural bonus rounds, counted whole, made up 48.73% of the return.
How many natural Khonsu Merge Up bonuses come in 10,000 spins?
Scatters started 61 bonuses in 10,000 ordinary rounds, one per 163.9 spins on average, or 6.1 bHz. Fifty were regular Free Spins from three or four scatters, 36 of them with 8 spins and 14 with 10, and 11 were Super Free Spins from five or six, seven with 12 spins and four with 14.
What does Khonsu's multiplier do on a base game spin?
It starts each spin at x1, moves to x2 on the first Refill and adds 2 on every Refill after that, multiplying what that Refill pays. In the test 837 of the 9,939 base spins that started no bonus won on at least one Refill, and round 3065, the only base spin with six paying steps, reached x10 and paid FUN 100.40, 50.2x the stake.
Which is stronger in Khonsu Merge Up, Free Spins or Super Free Spins?
Super Free Spins need five or six scatters instead of three or four, start with 12 or 14 spins instead of 8 or 10, and give each completed bar segment's symbol Wild power rather than Split power. The 11 natural Super rounds of the test averaged 128.89x the stake with a 69.00x median, against 64.87x and 41.90x for the 50 regular ones, and the FUN 200 purchase gives only the regular version.
Do some Khonsu Merge Up bonuses end without any extra spins?
Yes. Ticket 10 played its 8 free spins without completing a segment and returned FUN 1.60 of its FUN 200, and natural rounds 5685 and 7207 also stayed at 8 spins, paying 4.4x and 1.6x the stake. They were the exceptions, since 108 of the 111 bonuses in the test, natural and bought, got at least one +2 award.
