How it plays
9 rules screens from the gameWanted Dead or a Wild lines up five reels of five rows and pays on 15 fixed paylines from the leftmost reel. Three, four and five card ranks on a line return 0.1x, 0.5x and 1x the bet; the bull skull and the bandit 0.5x, 2.5x and 5x; the money bag and the whiskey bottle 1x, 5x and 10x; the revolver cylinder 2x, 10x and 20x, and five Wilds on a line are worth 20x. The Wild replaces any paying symbol and also forms lines of its own.
The VS symbol is the game's multiplier. When a VS forms part of a win it expands over its whole reel and two outlaws with different values draw on each other; the survivor's multiplier, anywhere from 2x to 100x, applies to the entire reel, which also turns Wild for that spin. Several VS symbols in one spin add their values together before multiplying the line wins, and a VS on every reel makes the whole grid Wild.
Three bonus games are opened by three or more scatters of their own kind. Duel scatters start Duel at Dawn, ten free spins with far more VS symbols on the reels than in ordinary play. Train Robbery scatters start The Great Train Robbery, ten free spins in which every Wild that lands stays in place to the end. Dead scatters start Dead Man's Hand, a collect phase in which Wilds and multipliers are gathered above the reels, each collection resetting the counter to three spins, until three blank spins in a row; a showdown of three spins then applies the collected Wilds to the grid and multiplies every win by the collected total.
The rules put ordinary play at 96.38% and the round cap at 12,500x the bet, with bets between EUR 0.20 and EUR 75.00. The BUY BONUS screen sells The Great Train Robbery for 80x the bet (96.27%), Duel at Dawn for 200x (96.33%) and Dead Man's Hand for 400x (96.43%).

Verdict
Sticky Wilds over duelsEight sticky Wilds collected over the ten spins of round 9258 turned a Great Train Robbery into EUR 1,124.80, 562.4x the EUR 2.00 stake and the largest round of the series. The two Duels at Dawn next to it worked differently: round 8496 held three duels and its ninth spin alone paid EUR 1,085.00, 542.5x, while round 547 fought seven duels for EUR 964.80. Remove round 9258 and the other 9,999 rounds returned 64.91% of their stakes.
A VS duel fired in 104 of the 9,970 rounds that had no feature; those 104 paid EUR 4,408.00, 51.8% of the EUR 8,507.20 that ordinary rounds returned; the best round without one, 9855, paid EUR 52.00. The survivors were modest in ordinary play, 124 duels won by x2 twenty-seven times, x3 twenty-eight, x4 twenty-four, x5 thirteen and x6 sixteen, with a single x25 and a single x20, and the three largest ordinary rounds, 6981, 1654 and 1527, paid EUR 550.00, EUR 507.60 and EUR 390.00 on duel reels. Nothing at all came back from 8,080 of the 10,000 rounds, and a stretch of 48 blank rounds ran from 8895 to 8942.
Thirty features arrived in 10,000 rounds, one per 333, every one of them ten spins long with no way to extend. Nineteen Great Train Robberies averaged 82.27x the stake, median 32.20x, and collected 97 sticky Wilds between them, two to eight per bonus; eleven Duels at Dawn averaged 111.75x with a median of 14.00x, and only eight of them actually fought a duel, nineteen in all, where the survivors ran higher than outside: x8 five times, x9 five, x20 three. Free spins money came to EUR 5,584.80, 39.59% of the series' payouts, and 144 of the 300 free spins paid.
Fifty Great Train Robbery tickets at EUR 160.00 brought back EUR 6,236.20, 77.95% of what they cost; a middling ticket paid EUR 72.20, 38 tickets fell short of the price, ticket 40 paid EUR 655.40 and ticket 29 EUR 0.80.
- Eight sticky Wilds in the Great Train Robbery of round 9258 returned EUR 1,124.80, 562.4x the stake, the largest round of the series.
- The ninth free spin of the Duel at Dawn in round 8496 paid EUR 1,085.00 on its own, 542.5x on a single spin.
- A VS duel fired in 104 of the 9,970 ordinary rounds, and they paid EUR 4,408.00, 51.8% of all the money ordinary rounds returned.
- Eleven Duel at Dawn features averaged 111.75x the stake in free spins money.
- Dead Man's Hand, the bonus sold at 400x, never triggered in 10,000 rounds.
- Rounds 8895 to 8942 paid nothing, a run of 48 blank rounds, and 24 such runs went past twenty rounds.
- Ticket 29 of the fifty EUR 160.00 Great Train Robbery purchases paid EUR 0.80.
- The median Duel at Dawn feature paid 14.00x in free spins money, a long way under the 111.75x mean.

FAQ
5 questions · answered from the logOut of three bonus games, how many did the Wanted Dead or a Wild demo show?
Two. Nineteen Great Train Robberies and eleven Duels at Dawn, thirty features over the 10,000 rounds, that is one per 333 or 3.0 bHz, the lab's per-thousand-rounds rate. Dead Man's Hand, the third bonus game, did not trigger once, and the longest wait between features ran 1,264 rounds, from round 5231 to round 6496.
The VS symbol: how much did the duels add outside the bonuses?
More than half the money. A VS expanded and duelled in 104 of the 9,970 rounds without a feature, 124 duels in all, and those rounds paid EUR 4,408.00, 51.8% of the EUR 8,507.20 that ordinary rounds returned, while the best round without a duel paid EUR 52.00. The survivors were mostly x2 to x6; x20 and x25 each won once.
Can an 80x Great Train Robbery ticket pay for itself?
No. The eighty-times price, EUR 160.00 at this stake, bought fifty Train Robberies that returned EUR 6,236.20, 77.95% of their cost; a middling ticket brought EUR 72.20, 38 tickets fell short of the price and twelve covered it. Ticket 40 paid EUR 655.40, ticket 29 EUR 0.80, and without ticket 40 the other 49 averaged 0.7118x their price.
How far under the listed 96.38% did the demo finish, and what pulled it down?
Hardly anything reached the free spins: the 10,000 rounds played at EUR 2.00 returned 70.53%, and the approximate 95% CI spans 48.70% to 92.36%, the uncertainty of this sample's mean rather than a forecast for another session. Blank rounds did the pulling: 8,080 of the 10,000 paid nothing, winning rounds had a median of 0.5x, and the free spins contributed EUR 5,584.80, 39.59% of all payouts, most of it from three features.
Will sticky Wilds from The Great Train Robbery survive all ten spins?
Yes. Every Wild that lands during the bonus stays on its position until the tenth spin is over, and the test logged 97 of them across the nineteen Train Robbery features, between two and eight per bonus. Round 9258 collected eight and paid EUR 1,124.80; the weakest, round 31, paid EUR 2.00.
