Wild West Gold
Eight purchases paid just USD 20 each in this Wild West Gold review, where a 10x bonus minimum met a USD 200 entry price and the purchase ledger stayed in the red.
The bonus floor prevented a zero payout, but eight purchases still lost 90% of their price. Ordinary play finished USD 1,324.90 ahead; the 50 purchases finished USD 1,638.70 behind.

Is Wild West Gold worth playing?
quick answerWild West Gold has a clear feature to study: wilds hold their positions and keep their multipliers through the free spins. The cost is harder to justify from this purchase sample. Its median payout was USD 92.15 against a USD 200 price, and 37 of 50 buys failed to recover that price. The ordinary series returned 106.62%, with its largest natural bonus paying more than the entire net profit. Use the English demo and the logs to examine that uneven path; the minimum award still left a large loss on those eight purchases.

One buy costs the same as 100 base spins. Natural bonuses arrived once per 185 spins in this run and paid an average of 100.7x the bet; bought bonuses averaged 84x the bet. These are different entry costs, not a prediction of which route will pay more.

How it plays
6 rules screens from the gameThe original Wild West Gold arranges its 40 fixed paylines across five reels with four rows. It is separate from Wild West Gold Megaways. Matching symbols pay from the first reel towards the right, with only the highest combination paid on each line. A five-symbol sheriff line pays 20x the total stake before any wild multiplier; at the USD 2 test stake, that is USD 40.
Wilds appear on reels two, three and four. They substitute for every regular symbol and carry 2x, 3x or 5x. Only wilds included in a paying line affect that line. Their values add together: two 2x wilds give a 4x line multiplier, while 2x, 2x and 3x give 7x. The same calculation applies in ordinary play and free spins.
Sunset scatters appear on reels one, three and five. Landing all three starts eight free spins. During the feature, wilds remain where they land and keep the multiplier first assigned to them. Sheriff-star scatter overlays can then appear over any symbol, including a sticky wild. Two, three, four or five overlays award another 4, 8, 12 or 20 spins respectively. These overlays are different from the three sunset symbols that start the feature.
The rules set a 10x-stake minimum award for the free-spins feature. That is USD 20 at our stake. Buying the eight starting spins costs 100x, or USD 200, so the minimum return covers only one tenth of the purchase price. All 50 statistical purchases used this standard option.
This English demo states 96.51% theoretical RTP, a USD 0.20–240 stake range and a 10,000x maximum win. At that limit, the round stops and any unused feature spins are lost. Its own rules label the game low volatility; that label is reproduced in the specifications. The measured risk panel describes the much less even path of this particular test.

Verdict
who it suits, who should skip itThe eight USD 20 returns are easy to find in the purchase list: buys 3, 7, 14, 23, 28, 39, 40 and 50. Each cost USD 200. Together those entries spent USD 1,600 and paid USD 160. The minimum award kept the losing results above zero, while still leaving USD 1,440 unrecovered across those eight purchases.
Thirty-four purchased features ran past their eight starting spins. The longest two reached 20. The best purchase, number 42, was one of those 20-spin features and returned USD 846.90. The series nevertheless ended at USD 8,361.30 paid from USD 10,000 spent. Six purchases doubled their price or better; none reached five times the price.
Ordinary play told a different story. Round 1412 paid USD 2,320.40 with a natural feature lasting 16 spins. That one payout exceeded the whole series profit of USD 1,324.90. With that payout subtracted and all recorded stakes left in place, the arithmetic would show a USD 995.50 loss. This is a measure of how much the largest result contributed, rather than a second simulated test.
There were still long stretches to fund before and after the large bonuses. A simulated budget of 200 stakes was exhausted by spin 645, well before round 1412. The largest peak-to-trough fall was 815.6 stakes. Even the profitable closing balance therefore says little about what a smaller starting budget could have endured.
The rules and the log agree on the detail that makes the feature interesting: held wilds can participate in more than one later line win, and their line multipliers are added. All 7,409 logged winning lines containing wilds passed a separate payout calculation. That makes the sticky-wild sequence worth inspecting in the footage, but it does not turn the observed purchase results into a favourable proposition.
- The captured rules spell out the bonus minimum and additive wild calculation.
- The full log includes 54 natural features and 50 purchases for comparing ordinary and bought access.
- Eight purchases returned only one tenth of their USD 200 price.
- At USD 92.15, the purchase median left more than half the entry cost unrecovered.
- A profitable ordinary series still contained an 815.6-stake peak-to-trough fall.
- Round 291 supplied a small, clear multiplier example: a four-symbol Q line worth USD 0.50 contained 2x, 2x and 3x wilds and paid USD 3.50. Other lines took the complete spin to USD 78.
- The longest entirely blank stretch was 28 spins, from 8458 through 8485. It began shortly after round 8447 had paid USD 1,223.60, the third-largest complete round.
- The biggest ordinary line-game result without a natural feature was USD 228.80 on round 6658, or 114.4x. The 1,160.2x figure belongs to a complete round with free spins and is kept separate.

FAQ
7 questions · answered from the logCan the bonus minimum cover the price of a purchase?
The floor equals ten times the underlying spin stake, not ten times the purchase price. At USD 2 per spin the minimum is USD 20, while the purchase costs USD 200. Eight of the 50 buys in this test returned exactly USD 20.
Why does this page say low volatility when the balance swings are large?
Low volatility is the label shown in the English demo and its rules. Our risk measurements describe the recorded sample instead: the largest peak-to-trough fall was 815.6 stakes, and the biggest natural-feature round paid 1,160.2x. A studio label does not set a limit on individual outcomes or drawdowns.
Is this Wild West Gold or Wild West Gold Megaways?
This is the original five-reel, four-row game with 40 fixed paylines. Its rules show all 40 line patterns. The separate Megaways game uses a changing reel layout and has its own review on Slotester.
Do several wild multipliers multiply each other?
Their values are added within each winning line. For example, 2x, 2x and 3x make 7x, not 12x. Round 291 in the ordinary series contains that exact combination; a USD 0.50 line paid USD 3.50 before other lines were added to the spin total.
How are more free spins awarded?
During the feature, sheriff-star overlays can appear over the reel symbols. Two give four more spins, three give eight, four give twelve and five give twenty. In this run 34 of 50 purchases and 25 of 54 natural features extended beyond their eight starting spins.
What maximum win does the tested version allow?
Rule screens two and five specify 10,000 times the total spin stake and end a round when that cap is reached. Our biggest complete statistical round was 1,160.2x, including its natural free spins. The test did not reach the declared cap.
Are the video and the purchase ledger the same session?
The ledger contains the 50 statistical purchases used in the calculations. The English footage comes from a separate media session at the same USD 2 underlying stake and USD 200 purchase price. Recording outcomes are excluded from both statistical series.
