How it plays
20 rules screens from the game
Winged Hussars spins five reels in three rows across 10 fixed lines. Five golden-helm hussars on a line pay 500x the bet, five white horses 100x, and the sabre and plumed helmet, the lowest symbols, 2.5x.
Coins with cash values land on the reels, and a board holding six coins or more starts Hold and Win: the coins lock, the other positions spin again, and every new coin resets the counter to three respins. Coins marked Minor and Major are worth 10x and 50x the bet, a Collect coin adds up the values on the board, and a screen full of coins pays the Grand, 1000x.
Mounted hussar Scatters pay 5x, 25x or 200x for three, four or five and give 10 free spins, and a fresh set of three during the feature adds 10 more. Coins keep landing in free spins, so a Hold and Win round can start inside them.
Risk'n'Buy offers the free spins at 100 times the bet and Hold and Win at 50 times; the test bought only the free spins and never used the Risk Wheel, so the rules' 95.57% RTP applies rather than the 95.19% given with Risk'n'Buy. The bet range is FUN 0.10 to FUN 50, and the top win is x1000.

Verdict
The Hold and Win edge shrank
Coins started a Hold and Win inside 12 of the 113 natural free spins rounds, and the free spins carried on after it each time, yet the lead those rounds held narrowed with each run. The first run had 140.24x against 72.77x without one, the second 102.58x against 87.17x, and in the third the order flipped, 69.80x against 89.45x. Pooled, the twelve averaged 110.08x and the other 101 averaged 82.62x.
Measured RTP went 102.9%, 101.61% and 100.48% run by run, 101.66% over all 30,000 rounds. Purchases fell further, from 102.92% of their cost to 99.74% and then 83.31%, so the 150 tickets at FUN 100 returned 95.32% overall.
The median win sat at 0.7x in every run, hit rates at 39.17%, 38.79% and 38.38%, and natural bonuses' share of ordinary payouts at 33.0%, 31.5% and 30.6%. The biggest single round came last, round 4496 of the third run, whose sixth free spin paid 582.5x of its 589.2x.
- Its sixth free spin alone brought 582.5x, and round 4496 of the third run closed at 589.2x
- Base-game Hold and Win reached 101.6x in round 7768 of the second run, a Collect coin on the board
- Over 30,000 rounds the base game triggered natural free spins 113 times, once per 265.5 rounds
- Purchases with a Hold and Win inside averaged 106.96x against 93.00x for the other 125
- Base-game Hold and Win paid 18.0x or less in half of its 142 rounds
- Third-run purchases returned 83.31% of their cost, the weakest of the three sets
- Third-run free spins that held a Hold and Win averaged 69.80x, below the 89.45x of the 32 without one
- Tickets above five times the price numbered two of 150, both from the first run
Run 01·2026-11-05·102.90%
Hold and Win started 42 times straight from the base game and paid little there, 19.39x the stake on average and never more than 36.3x, which round 7821 reached after 13 respins. Inside free spins the picture differed: the five natural bonuses that contained a Hold and Win averaged 140.24x for the whole round, of which the Hold and Win itself brought 25.72x on average, while the 37 without one averaged 72.77x.
The best natural bonus, round 2300, had no Hold and Win at all. A retrigger stretched it from 10 to 20 spins, spin 3 paid 95x and spin 10 paid 70x, and the round closed at 221.5x.
Fifty purchased bonuses at FUN 100 each returned FUN 5,146.10, slightly more than they cost, though the middle ticket brought back only FUN 70.00. Ticket 29 paid 592.5x with its second free spin and FUN 819.50 in all, and without it the rest returned 88.3% of their price.
Free spins arriving naturally made 33.0% of all payouts and came once per 238 rounds, so the rest of the 102.9% returned came from ordinary spins and base-game Hold and Win.
Run 02·2026-11-05·101.61%
Round 7768 gave the biggest base-game Hold and Win of the run, 101.6x the stake, ending with 12 coins and a Collect coin on the board; the next best of the 49 base-game Hold and Win rounds paid 56.7x, and their median was 16.6x.
By round 3856 the balance stood FUN 620.60 under its FUN 10,000 start. Rounds 4266 and 4270 then both triggered free spins, worth 193.5x and 161.2x, and round 4569 paid 272.7x, the top round here, with 95x on its ninth free spin and 152.5x on its tenth.
The 36 natural bonuses arrived once per 278 rounds, seven of them stretched to 20 spins, with a median of 81.85x for the whole round. The fifty FUN 100 purchases paid out FUN 4,987.20, or 99.74% of their cost, and ticket 41 reached 20 spins, its twelfth paying 217.5x on the way to FUN 354.80.
Run 03·2026-11-05·100.48%
A slide of 591.4 bets from the run's high point ended at round 4495, and the very next round triggered free spins that paid 589.2x the stake. Nearly all of it landed on the sixth of ten spins, 582.5x, and without that round the other 9,999 returned 94.60%.
Hold and Win ran inside 3 of the 35 natural bonuses, and those three averaged 69.80x for the whole round, below the 89.45x of the other 32; the best of them, round 1650, took 64.0x from Hold and Win and 114.0x in all. Straight from the base game, Hold and Win started 51 times with a median of 19.0x and a top of 37.2x in round 6914.
Natural bonuses came once per 286 rounds and only two were retriggered. Fifty tickets at FUN 100 brought back FUN 4,165.30, 83.31% of the outlay; the median one paid FUN 64.60, and ticket 7, the best, went to 20 spins for FUN 269.40.

FAQ
5 questions · answered from the log
Why did Winged Hussars pay more than 100% in all three demo runs?
Each run of 10,000 rounds left a wide margin: the approximate 95% CIs were 89.65% to 116.14%, 88.4% to 114.83% and 84.49% to 116.47%, and each holds the declared 95.57%. Pooled, 101.66% comes with a CI of 93.46% to 109.87%, and taking away round 4496 of the third run leaves the other 29,999 rounds at 99.70%.
Is a Hold and Win the end of the free spins in Winged Hussars?
No. The respins play out inside the feature and the free spins pick up where they stopped; 12 of the 113 natural bonuses and 25 of the 150 purchases went through that.
Which base-game Hold and Win paid the most?
With 12 coins and a Collect coin on the board, round 7768 of the second run paid 101.6x the stake. The 142 base-game Hold and Win rounds of the three runs averaged 20.18x with a median of 18.0x, and the best of the first and third runs were 36.3x and 37.2x.
Per ticket, what does the 100x free spins purchase return?
FUN 73.30 for the median of 150 tickets priced at FUN 100. Ticket 29 of the first run paid FUN 819.50, the most of any, and without it the other 149 averaged 0.9046x their cost.
Was any win gambled on the Risk Wheel?
No. The wheel was declined each time it appeared after a win, which is why the 30,000 ordinary rounds are set against 95.57%, the rules' figure without Risk'n'Buy; the rules put play with it at 95.19%.
