Big Bass Bonanza
Long silences, then a fisherman. Half of everything this slot paid in 10,000 spins came out of 73 free-spin rounds; the reels in between mostly did nothing.

Is Big Bass Bonanza worth playing?
quick answerBig Bass Bonanza gave back 81.19% across 10,000 spins of demo play at a 2.00 stake (95% CI 66.8–95.6%), fifteen points short of the 96.71% printed in its rules. It is a slow game: a win landed once every 7.7 spins and the longest silence was 54 spins in a row. Three bass scatters showed up 73 times, about every 137 spins, and those bonuses averaged 57x the bet, with a 301x round as the high mark. This build has no bonus-buy option, so there is no purchase data here.

natural trigger · 73 in 10,000 spinsThis is the bonus from media spin 85, recorded as it happened on the demo server: it paid 46.00, 23.0x the bet, below the run average of 56.7x. Out of the 73 natural bonuses in the 10,000-spin series it beats 12%. Captured from the game tab with sound; the strongest rounds of the run are in the Best bonuses list.
Across the whole run the 73 natural bonuses split into 1 under 20x, 45 between 20x and 50x, 17 between 50x and 100x and 10 above 100x, and together they made up 51% of everything the game returned. The wait between two triggers ran from 1 to 662 spins. 24 of them ran longer than the basic 10 spins.

How it plays
6 rules screens from the gameThis is a classic five-reel, three-row line slot with 10 paylines, paying left to right from the first reel. The bobber is the top symbol at 200x for five, then the rod at 100x, the dragonfly and tackle box at 50x, the pair of fish at 20x, and the card royals at 10x. Two bobbers already pay 0.5x, which is where a lot of the small hits in the log come from.
Every fish on the reels carries a money value between 2x and 2,000x the total bet, but the value is only cashed during free spins, when the fisherman wild lands and collects every fish on the screen. In our 73 natural bonuses the fisherman collected 2.5 fish per round on average, and money collects made up 95% of all free-spin winnings; line wins inside the feature barely registered.
Three, four or five bass scatters award 10, 15 or 20 free spins. Every fourth fisherman collected during the feature retriggers it with 10 more spins and raises the collection multiplier to 2x, 3x and finally 10x; after the third retrigger the round can no longer extend. Twenty-four of our 73 bonuses ran longer than the base 10 spins, through extra scatters or retriggers, and the longest reached 35 spins (round 2127). The feature is capped at 2,100x the bet.
There is no ante bet and no feature purchase in the demo build we played; the server returned no purchase options and a single 96.71% RTP profile.

Verdict
who it suits, who should skip itThis one rewards patience and punishes short sessions. Eighty-nine droughts of 20 spins or more, seventeen of them over 30, and the balance never recovered: it ended 1,882 bets down with the low point on the very last spin. Fifty bets were gone by spin 85, a hundred by spin 196, two hundred by spin 362.
The upside is that the feature comes often for a slot like this. Seventy-three triggers in 10,000 spins, one every 137, and they carried 51% of the total return. Ten of them paid over 100x: the best 301x on round 7692 with seven fish collected over 30 spins, then 224x on round 2252 and 201x on round 7382. The worst still returned 10x, because a fisherman with even one small fish pays something.
Without a buy button, there is no shortcut to that feature, and the base game on its own is thin: 97 base-game rounds above 10x in ten thousand, a single 200x line hit on round 2046, and a median winning spin of 2x. If you want the bonus, budget for the wait; if you want the base game, this is the wrong fishing spot.
- Bonus every 137 spins on average, far more often than the tumble slots we have tested
- Ten bonuses above 100x in 10,000 spins, topped by 301x
- Retriggers and extra-scatter starts extended 24 of 73 bonuses
- Spin log downloadable, each collected fish included
- 81.19% measured return, fifteen points under the declared 96.71%
- A hit only every 7.7 spins; 89 droughts of 20 or more
- No bonus buy and no ante bet in this build, so the wait cannot be shortened
- The balance fell 1,882 bets and was still falling at spin 10,000
- Droughts are the story: 89 streaks of 20 dead spins or more, 17 over 30, and the longest 54 spins (rounds 9249–9302).
- Round 2046 paid 200.5x on a single base-game spin with no feature, the only base-game round above 100x; the next best were 60x (round 3904) and a string of 50x hits.
- Bonuses arrived every 137 spins on average, but the gaps swung from one spin (rounds 6455 and 6456 back to back) to 662 spins.
- The fisherman did the earning: money collects were 95% of free-spin winnings, and the 301x round on 7692 came from seven collected fish across 30 spins.
- Return by segment stayed low throughout, 57.9% in the first 1,000 spins and 64.6% in the last 1,000, while the hit rate held between 11.8% and 13.7% per 2,000-spin block.

FAQ
8 questions · answered from the logHow many spins does it take to hit the fisherman bonus?
137 on average in our 10,000-spin log: 73 triggers, with gaps from a single spin to 662. Three bass scatters start 10 free spins, four start 15, five start 20.
Why can't I buy the feature?
The demo build we played has no purchase option and no ante bet; the server returned an empty purchase list. Versions with a buy button exist for some markets, but this one is wait-only, so all 73 bonuses in the log were natural.
Is 81% RTP normal for Big Bass Bonanza?
It is what 10,000 spins produced, not the long-run figure: the 95% interval runs 66.8–95.6%, and the declared 96.71% sits just above it. Half of the return came from the bonuses, so a run with a couple more 200x rounds would look very different.
What does the fisherman actually collect?
Every fish on the screen when he lands, each carrying 2x to 2,000x the total bet. In our bonuses he collected 2.5 fish per round on average, and that money made up 95% of what the feature paid. Line wins during free spins were almost nothing.
What's the most one round paid?
301x the bet on round 7692: a 30-spin bonus in which the fisherman collected seven fish. The best base-game spin was a 200.5x line hit on round 2046, the only base-game round in the run above 100x.
How long were the dead stretches?
Up to 54 spins without a win (rounds 9249–9302), and there were 89 stretches of 20 or more. With a hit rate of 13%, sitting through 30 dead spins is routine here, not bad luck.
Did the balance ever get ahead?
Not for long. It ended 1,882 bets below the start after 10,000 spins, and the deepest point was the last spin. A 50-bet bankroll lasted 85 spins, 100 bets lasted 196, and 200 bets lasted 362.
What happens at the 2,100x cap?
If a free-spins round reaches 2,100x the bet, it ends immediately and any remaining spins are forfeited. Nothing in our log came close: the largest round was 301x.
