How it plays
4 rules screens from the game
Five reels by three rows carry 10 fixed lines, and each line is read in both directions, starting from the outer reel on either side, with only the higher of the two wins paid. Five Treasure Chests are the top line win at 25x the total bet, five Skull Wells give 12.5x and five Roast Hams 7.5x, while the four crystals run from 5x for red down to 2.5x for green.
Troll Wilds are limited to the middle three reels, 2 to 4, and come as x2, x3 or x5. When several sit on one winning line their multipliers combine, which is how the rules arrive at a ceiling of x125. In the base game a troll can cover one, two or all three rows of its reel.
Three Sun Scatters start 12 free spins; a fresh trio during the feature tacks on 12 more. Inside free spins every Wild expands over its whole reel for that spin, so a troll on each of the three middle reels leaves only reels 1 and 5 to settle which symbol each line pays.
The same 12 spins can be bought for 58 times the bet, which comes to FUN 116 on a FUN 2.00 spin; a second card marked SPECIAL OFFER changes its price after every spin. After a win, a RISK button opens the Risk game of the Risk'n'Buy feature, with a multiplier of up to x1000 of the total bet; the test never played it. Mascot lists 95.07% RTP and a top prize of x12000 for this build, and its cheapest spin is FUN 0.10, the dearest FUN 20.00.

Verdict
Bonus buys swung run to run
The four sets of 50 FUN 116 purchases returned 110.19%, 131.38%, 66.02% and 61.52% of their cost. Ordinary play over the same 10,000-round runs stayed in a narrower band, 94.09%, 88.28%, 88.26% and 91.28%. Across all 40,000 rounds RTP came to 90.48%, the 200 tickets returned 92.28% together, and natural bonuses, one per 163.9 rounds, supplied 30.79% of ordinary-play payouts.
Hit rates stayed within 32.33% to 33.98% in every run, and every one of the 244 natural bonuses opened from exactly three Scatters. The median ticket stayed inside a narrow band too, FUN 41.90 to FUN 47.80, under half the price in all four runs, so the swings in purchase returns came from a handful of large tickets such as ticket 48 of the second run at FUN 1,891.40.
Nothing in the series has topped round 9838 of the first run, 825x the stake, whose opening and closing spins each paid with a troll Wild reel on reels 2, 3 and 4. The best round of each later run was smaller, 562.6x, 652.5x and 315.3x.
- Six tickets out of 200 returned five times the FUN 116 price or more
- A base round paid 204.0x the stake with no bonus, round 1458 of the second run
- Of the 40,000 rounds, 29 paid 100x or more
- Sun Scatters opened free spins once per 163.9 rounds across the four runs
- Bought at 58x the stake, the 200 tickets returned 92.28% of what they cost
- Free spins took 1,260 rounds to come in the first run, from round 534 to round 1795
- The 200 purchases bottomed out at FUN 2.00, ticket 15 of the first run
- Base-game hits of the third run topped out at 80.5x in round 452, none reaching 100x
Run 01·2026-11-06·94.09%
Round 9838 paid 825x the FUN 2.00 stake from 12 free spins and no retrigger: its first spin brought 492x and its last 328x, and on both a troll stood on each of reels 2, 3 and 4 and turned into a full Wild reel. Ticket 25, the best of the purchases at FUN 1,372.00, got 682.4x of its 686x on the fourth spin in the same way.
FUN 5,429.80 of the ordinary series' payouts, 28.85%, came from the 48 natural bonus rounds, trigger spins included. Their median was 26.2x the stake and their mean 56.56x, with round 6014 the second best at 201.5x after a 193.2x eleventh spin.
Purchased bonuses, 50 at FUN 116 each, brought back FUN 6,391.00 for FUN 5,800.00, 110.19% of their cost. The median ticket returned FUN 41.90, 0.361x the price, and five of them paid twice the price or more.
Five natural bonuses ran to 24 spins and none passed the 123.5x of round 6883. Ticket 42, the only purchase that reached 48 spins, came back with FUN 128.40, 1.107x its price.
Run 02·2026-11-06·88.28%
Ticket 48 cost FUN 116 like every other purchase and came back with FUN 1,891.40, 16.3052x its price, after its second free spin alone paid 878.0x the stake; it ran to 24 spins. Tickets 50 and 8 followed at FUN 1,113.60 and FUN 1,036.40, each lifted by one spin of 546.0x or 492.0x, so the 50 tickets returned FUN 7,619.80 on FUN 5,800.00 spent, 131.38%. Half of them paid FUN 47.80 or less and 35 stayed under the price.
Sixty-one natural bonuses opened from three Scatters each, one per 163.9 rounds, and brought 28.78% of what ordinary play paid. Round 3176 led them at 562.6x, FUN 1,125.20, with 553.2x of it on a single third spin. The run measured 88.28%; with round 3176 excluded, its other 9,999 rounds came to 82.67%.
Without any bonus, round 1458 paid 204.0x, round 2840 127.6x and round 7178 106.8x. The longest stretch with no trigger lasted 757 rounds, between round 2257 and round 3015.
Run 03·2026-11-06·88.26%
Rounds 8966 and 8967 started free spins back to back, at 99.7x and 68.4x the stake, and rounds 96 and 97 had done the same; 72 natural bonuses came in all, one per 138.9 rounds, and they made up 34.31% of ordinary-play payouts. Round 9029 was the largest at FUN 1,305.00, 652.5x, and 591.0x of that came on its fourth spin. Measured RTP stood at 88.26%, approximate 95% CI 72.22% to 104.31%, and fell to 81.75% for the remaining 9,999 rounds once round 9029 is left out.
No round reached 100x without free spins: the base game peaked at 80.5x in round 452, so all five rounds of 100x or more were bonuses. Twice the balance went 20 rounds without a win, from 2063 to 2082 and from 9627 to 9646.
Ticket 9 headed the 50 purchases with FUN 393.40, 3.3914x its FUN 116 price, built on a 172.0x third spin, and ticket 4 was the only other one past twice the price. Together they brought back FUN 3,829.20 of FUN 5,800.00, 66.02%, and ticket 12 ran to 36 spins for just FUN 87.20.
Run 04·2026-11-06·91.28%
This run closed at its lowest balance, FUN 8,256.80 from a FUN 10,000 start, 871.6 bets down, and measured 91.28% RTP (approximate 95% CI 79.15% to 103.42%). A 100-bet bankroll would have held out until spin 6407. Round 2120 was the best at FUN 630.60, 315.3x, and 310.4x of it came on the sixth of its 12 free spins; the remaining 9,999 rounds made 88.14% on their own.
Round 4593, second at 158.1x, was followed by the longest wait of the run, 846 rounds until the trigger in round 5440. The 63 natural bonuses averaged one per 158.7 rounds, seven of them grew to 24 spins, and their median whole round was 27.8x. Rounds 1272 and 319 reached 125.2x and 120.0x with no bonus at all.
Only the last two purchases, tickets 49 and 50, cleared twice the FUN 116 price, at FUN 426.00 and FUN 405.80; ticket 49 took 202.2x the stake on its first free spin. All 50 returned FUN 3,568.00 of FUN 5,800.00, 61.52%, with 43 below the price.

4 test runs combined into one sample (2026-11-06, 2026-11-06, 2026-11-06, 2026-11-06): 40,000 ordinary rounds, including naturally triggered features, at a fixed FUN 2 bet; 200 bonus buys at FUN 116 each (58x); recorded on the official Mascot Gaming demo server (jurisdiction DEMO, RTP profile 95.07%); every request and response logged.
The test rig plays the official demo build over the network and records every server round: bet, win, intermediate steps (cascades, respins), free spins, collect. FAQ
5 questions · answered from the log
Do four demo runs under 95.07% show that The Dawn is coming! pays less than it lists?
No. Four separate 10,000-round samples landed at 94.09%, 88.28%, 88.26% and 91.28%, and their pooled approximate 95% CI, 82.64% to 98.32%, still contains the 95.07% listed for this build. One round weighs heavily: without the 825x of round 9838 the other 39,999 rounds come to 88.42%.
When two troll Wilds land on one line, are their multipliers added?
No. Troll multipliers on the same line are multiplied, so x5 on each of reels 2, 3 and 4 makes the x125 ceiling given in the rules. During free spins every troll also covers its whole reel, and round 9838 of the first run opened with a 492x spin that way.
In The Dawn is coming!, how often do Sun Scatters trigger free spins?
Across 40,000 rounds 244 natural bonuses came, one per 163.9 on average, from one per 208.3 in the first run to one per 138.9 in the third. They arrived unevenly: rounds 8966 and 8967 of the third run triggered back to back, while the first run once waited 1,260 rounds.
Should a player buy the 58x feature in The Dawn is coming!?
No. Most of the 200 tickets fell short of the FUN 116 price, 154 of them, and half paid FUN 47.10 or less, 0.406x of it; 14 reached double the price or more. Ticket 48 of the second run, FUN 1,891.40, lifted the set, the other 199 averaging 0.8455x. Every purchase used the regular card; the SPECIAL OFFER card, whose price changes after each spin, was never bought.
Was the Risk game ever played after a win in The Dawn is coming!?
No. Each win went straight to the balance in all 40,000 rounds and 200 purchases, so the Risk'n'Buy gamble, with its multiplier of up to x1000 of the total bet, plays no part in the measured figures.
