Mental II
A fourth Fire Frame is the gate in Mental II's demo: it opens the Enhancer Cell under reel 2, and 350 of the 369 spins with an xSplit logged for this review got it from there.

A bonus starts with eight Bloodletting Spins, one more for each Cognitive Scatter that lands inside a Fire Frame on the trigger and two more inside a Fire Reel; a Disembodied Scatter during the round upgrades it to Surgery Spins and adds a spin. Nineteen of the fifty bought rounds ran past eight spins: 18 took their extra spins at the start and one, ticket 47, through an upgrade.

How it plays
23 rules screens from the gameMental II spins five reels shaped 3-2-3-2-3, which gives 108 ways before any feature adds more; a win needs the symbol on neighbouring reels starting with reel 1. The Patient portraits pay 1.00x to 2.50x the bet per way for five of a kind, the bone symbols 0.50x to 0.75x, and a Wild substitutes for any paying symbol.
On any base spin one to thirteen positions can turn into Fire Frames, which split whatever lands inside into two symbols, and one to five reels can burn as Fire Reels that split into three. Those frames also unlock the Enhancer Cells under reels 2, 3 and 4: four frames open the reel 2 cell, six add reel 4 and eight open all three, a Fire Reel counting as two or three frames by its height. An open cell shows a Wild, an xNudge Wild, xSplit, xWays or a Patient symbol.
Two or more Dead Patient tombstones start the Dead Patients feature, and each of them reveals a Patient symbol with a random multiplier from x5 up to x9,999. A Disembodied Scatter on reel 2 or 4 turns into one of five things, the Mental Transform: a Patient symbol, a Wild, xWays, xSplit or a Dead Patient. xHole works only from a Fire Frame or Fire Reel on the second position of reel 3 and xMental only from a frame anywhere on the reels; xMental then plays an extra spin with every position framed.
Three Cognitive Scatters, a symbol limited to reels 1, 3 and 5, award 8 Bloodletting Spins, in which Fire Frames and Fire Reels stay in place until the end. With one Disembodied Scatter beside them the award is 9 Surgery Spins, where Dead Patient multipliers are banked and handed to later Patient symbols, and with two it is 10 Experimental Spins, where the banked counts never run down. Every scatter sitting in a frame adds a spin, two in a Fire Reel, and a Disembodied Scatter during the round upgrades the spins still to come.
Bloodletting Spins cost 100x the bet in the Nolimit Bonus menu, Surgery 250x, Experimental 1,800x, a Lucky Draw between the three (50/40/10%) 330x and God Mode 6,666x. The Nolimit Booster raises the price of every spin instead: 1.4x the bet guarantees a Cognitive Scatter on reel 1, 6x puts Fire Frames on every position, 99x guarantees xHole and 3,200x xMental. The base game is set at 96.06% and the five feature buys at 96.10% to 96.16%; bets go from EUR 0.20 to EUR 100, and the 99,999x cap is simulated once in 16,000,000 rounds on a volatility the studio rates 10.0 (Insane).

Verdict
Four frames before the xSplitThirty-eight natural bonuses arrived in 10,000 spins, one per 263, and 36 began as Bloodletting Spins. Rounds with nine to eleven Fire Frames locked by their final spin averaged 112.0x the bet from the free spins alone, while those with six to eight averaged 47.0x. Surgery Spins appeared three times, once through an upgrade in round 5798, and round 2996 banked a x50 Dead multiplier on its way to 313.15 EUR; Experimental Spins never showed.
Fifty Bloodletting purchases at 100x came back at 102.59% of their cost on the strength of ticket 8, which paid 2,072.10 EUR, 20.721 times its price, while the next best returned 184.00 EUR. Half of the tickets paid 49.55 EUR or less, and ticket 47, upgraded to Surgery Spins by a Disembodied Scatter, ended at 29.25 EUR.
In 84.5% of base spins fewer than four effective Fire Frames burned, the Enhancer Cells stayed shut and the average return was 0.225x the bet. Four or five frames opened the cell under reel 2 and lifted the average to 1.769x; six or seven added the reel 4 cell and it reached 4.070x. That reel 2 cell put the xSplit on screen in 350 of the 369 spins that had one, and those 350 spins paid 55.0% of the base-game money; all seven base rounds of 50x or more were among them.
- When the reel 2 Enhancer Cell showed xSplit, the spin averaged 9.105x the bet
- Only one dry run reached 20 spins, and it stopped at 22
- Free-spin rounds that locked nine to eleven Fire Frames had a 68.35x median from the feature alone
- Ordinary Bloodletting Spins produced the best natural round, 422.3x on round 6700, with eleven frames locked
- Experimental Spins never came up, neither from the triggers nor from the fifty purchases
- xHole landed 26 times and never activated, and xMental landed three times without starting its extra spin
- Only one bought round in fifty returned more than twice the 100 EUR price
- Bought rounds that locked five frames or fewer paid an average of 0.374x the price from their free spins

FAQ
7 questions · answered from the logWhy did Mental II return 86.41% when the rules say 96.06%?
A single series of 10,000 spins at EUR 1 measured 86.41%, and the approximate 95% band around that figure runs from 69.81% to 103.01%, wide enough to include the declared 96.06%. The largest round was 422.3x against a 99,999x cap, and the balance ended 1,359 bets below the start, within a spin of its lowest point.
Mental II free spins: how long is the wait?
Roughly one bonus per 263 spins: the series logged 38 natural bonuses in 10,000 spins, 3.8 bHz. Thirty-six began as Bloodletting Spins and two as Surgery Spins, where a Disembodied Scatter joined the three Cognitive Scatters; Experimental Spins never triggered. Scatters that landed inside Fire Frames or Fire Reels added one or two starting spins to 11 of the rounds.
Does buying Bloodletting Spins at 100x pay off?
Across fifty purchases the ticket returned 5,129.35 EUR for 5,000 EUR, 102.59% against the 96.11% the studio sets for it, and 2,072.10 EUR of that came from a single round. Set that one aside and the other 49 averaged 0.6239x their price, none of them reaching twice it.
What do Fire Frames do in Mental II?
A framed position splits its symbol into two, adding ways, and the number of frames decides the Enhancer Cells: at four the cell under reel 2 opens, at six the one under reel 4 joins it, at eight the middle cell as well. The step from three to four frames shows in the log: base spins with three effective frames averaged 0.307x the bet, spins with four or five averaged 1.769x.
Did xHole or xMental ever trigger?
No. xHole symbols landed 26 times in 10,000 base spins, but the feature only starts when one sits inside a Fire Frame or Fire Reel on the second position of reel 3, and that never happened; xMental landed three times and never started its extra spin.
Is Mental II better than the first Mental?
The two tests cannot settle that: the first Mental measured 83.71% over its own 10,000 spins and Mental II 86.41%, both with bands wide enough to include their declared figures. The base games differ in where the money came from: spins with xSplit made up 30.38% of the first game's base-game money and 55.5% of Mental II's.
Can a Dead Patient multiplier get anywhere near x9,999?
Not in this log. The largest was x50, banked during the natural Surgery Spins of round 2996, which paid 313.15 EUR; in the base game two Dead Patients met only twice in 10,000 spins, revealing x5 three times and x30 once.
