How it plays

A 5×3 grid with twenty fixed lines, paid left to right. Midas himself heads the table at 20x for five, the card symbols close it at 1.25x. The wild sits on reels two, three and four and brings a multiplier of 1x, 2x or 3x each time it lands; the multipliers of several wilds on one spin are summed and the sum multiplies the total win of that spin. In the base game that is the whole story, and the whole story was small: 47.25x on round 9702 was the top base spin of the whole run and only 17 base rounds reached 20x.
The golden hand is the scatter, present on the reels only in the base game. Three or more start the feature, and the spin count is decided by mini reels: three of them for every triggering scatter, each showing 1, 2 or 3, added together. Our 52 natural rounds ran between 10 and 29 spins in total, most of them 11 to 16. Inside the round every wild that lands stays sticky until the end and raises a general multiplier by 1x, 2x or 3x; that multiplier applies to the total of every spin from then on, which is why long rounds compound. The feature carries a floor: 10x for a three-scatter start, 20x for four, 30x for five. If the spins run out below the floor, more mini reels spin and the round continues; there is no limit on such retriggers, and round 9815 ran 29 spins to reach 15.1x that way.
Three purchase prices open the feature with three, four or five scatters: 100x, 200x or 300x the bet, each with its matching floor. The lab bought the 100x option fifty times; the 200x and 300x versions were not measured. An ante option at 25 units per spin makes the scatter twice as common. who it suits, who should skip itThis run never had a quiet stretch: the balance opened with two bonuses of 319.9x and 324.6x inside the first 321 spins, dipped to a low of 356 bets down at spin 2343, then climbed through 841 bets up at spin 6,000 to a peak of 1,008 up at round 9704 and closed 893 ahead at 101,786.90. Stakes of 50 and 100 bets ran out after 133 and 203 spins, during the early slide, but 200 bets survived to spin 2009.
Base play contributes almost nothing beyond keeping the reels turning. It paid on 30% of spins, never went 20 spins without a hit, and never passed 47.25x; base rounds of 20x or more numbered 17 in ten thousand. Everything else was the feature, which produced 52% of all money returned.
Fifty-two natural rounds are a large sample for one game, and their shape is clear. Median 50.1x, mean 109.2x, sixteen rounds over 100x and thirteen under 20x; the ceiling was 566.15x on round 4556, the floor 10.2x on round 3460, close to the guaranteed minimum. Triggers arrived in clumps: rounds 4542, 4553 and 4556 fired within fourteen spins and paid 70.5x, 139.45x and 566.15x, rounds 8039 and 8040 fired on consecutive spins, and the longest wait was 837 spins between rounds 5833 and 6670.
The 100x purchase opens the three-scatter round with its 10x floor, and the floor is the most visible thing about the results: no purchase returned less than 0.1355x, but 39 of the fifty returned less than their price, 28 less than half of it, and the median was 0.445x. The five above 2x (4.39x, 4.10x, 3.08x, 2.83x, 2.75x) came from rounds where the sticky wilds pushed the general multiplier high; buy 1 reached an 84x multiplier.
