Bonanza Trillion

Bonanza Trillion slot review from 10,000 demo spins on BGaming's own server: 120.76% of stake returned, a single base spin worth 1,225x when a x500 gift box landed on a 4.9x cascade, free spins every 147 rounds, and the 100x purchase back at 1.06x over fifty tries.

Lab verdict

A 6x5 scatter-pays game where gift boxes worth x2 to x500 multiply whatever the cascade has collected, in the base game as well as in the feature. One box did the work of this run: round 2734 turned 4.9x of fruit into 1,225x. The 68 natural bonuses paid a median 35.8x, the fifty purchases a median 0.35x.

How it plays

10 rules screens from the game

Bonanza Trillion plays on a six-reel, five-row grid without paylines; a symbol pays once it shows up eight times or more anywhere on the screen, the winners burst, and new symbols fill the gaps until nothing new connects. The green gem leads the paytable at 50x the bet for twelve or more, then the blue star at 25x, the yellow star at 15x, the heart at 12x and five fruits from the watermelon at 10x down to the cherries at 2x. Eight or nine of a kind is the cheap tier: the gem pays 10x there, the cherries a quarter of the bet.

The scatter is a rainbow clover: four pay 3x and start 15 free spins, five pay 5x, six pay 100x. Inside the feature three or more clovers on one spin add five spins, and the rules put no limit on retriggers other than the 5,000x cap; 27 of the 68 natural rounds in this run extended at least once, the longest to 30 spins.

The gift box is the multiplier symbol and it drops in the base game too. Each box carries a random value from x2 to x500, boxes that land during a cascade slide down and stay until the cascade ends, and the total of all boxes on screen multiplies the whole win of that spin. In free spins the boxes feed a pool instead: every new box adds its value to the pool, the pool never resets during the round, and whenever a fresh box lands the spin's win is multiplied by the pool plus the new box, up to x500.

Three purchases sit behind the Buy Bonus button: 100x for 15 free spins, 300x for the same round with a x50 starting multiplier, 500x with x100. The lab bought the 100x version only. A Chance x2 option raises the stake by a quarter for a better chance of the scatters; the help screen quotes 97.17% for every mode, a 5,000x ceiling and odds of one in 3,008,718 of hitting it.

Verdict

who it suits, who should skip it

Two different games share this balance curve. For the first thousand spins the base game ate the stake: 284 bets under the start at spin 1076, the run's low point, with two of the three test stakes, 50 and 100 bets, already gone by spins 203 and 291. Then round 2664 collected 2.0x under a x100 box for 100x, and seventy spins later round 2734 put a x500 box on a 4.9x cascade for 1,225x, 2,450 in a 2.00 game. From there the run never went back under the line and finished 2,076 bets up, its peak 2,368 bets up on spin 9237.

Strip the boxes out and the base game is thin: 68.9% of spins paid nothing, the median hit was 1.0x, and the longest blank run was 30 spins, rounds 7717 to 7746. What the boxes add is a tail. Thirty base rounds ended with a multiplier of x20 or more, two of them x100 and one x500, and wins of 10x or higher carried 67% of everything paid.

The pool mechanic shows in the feature. Free spins triggered 68 times, once every 147 rounds, and the gaps ran from 2 spins to 581 spins, the longest between rounds 3498 and 4079. Ten rounds paid under 10x, twenty-seven under 30x, twelve over 100x. The best, 776.3x on spin 2048, was a 20-spin round in which a single free spin paid 1,445.7 with the pool at x65; the 429.7x round on spin 9078 built its pool to x86. Together the free spins delivered 39.8% of the payout, so without them the run would have returned 72.73% of stake.

The bought rounds gave the same shape in miniature. Fifty of them at 200.00 apiece returned 1.06x on average, but the median was 0.35x, 36 of 50 lost money and six came back under a tenth of the price. Buy number 36 ran 25 spins with a x96 pool and returned 8.79x, one spin of it worth 1,313.5; remove that round and the other 49 returned 0.90x. Half of the bought rounds retriggered at least once.

Measured upsides
  • Multiplier boxes work in the base game: two x100 rounds and a x500 round in 10,000 spins without a single free spin.
  • Bonus rounds every 147 spins on average, twelve of 68 over 100x.
  • Only two stretches of 20 or more empty spins, the worst 30.
Measured downsides
  • Measured 120.76% rests on one spin; the same log without round 2734 returns 108.5%, and the base game alone gave back 72.73%.
  • Twenty-seven of 68 bonus rounds paid under 30x, ten of them under 10x.
  • Median purchase 0.35x of its 100x price, 36 of 50 losing money.
  • Every test stake was gone before spin 900, the 50-bet one by spin 203.
What the AI noticed during the run
  • Round 2734: four cascades worth 0.8x, 1.6x, 2.0x and 0.5x, then a x500 gift box, 1,225x in one spin and 10% of the run's whole payout.
  • Round 2664 did the same on a smaller scale: a 2.0x win under a x100 box, 100x; round 6304 repeated it with 1.0x under x100.
  • The gift box appeared 1,721 times across the 10,000 opening screens, and thirty base rounds closed with a multiplier of x20 or more.
  • Sixty-eight free-spin rounds, every 147 spins, with gaps from 2 to 581 rounds; 27 of them retriggered, and the round lengths were 15, 20, 25 or 30 spins.
  • On spin 2048 the 776.3x round paid 1,445.7 on one free spin with the pool at x65; the 429.7x round on spin 9078 reached a x86 pool.
  • Of fifty buys at 100x, 14 beat their price, 6 returned under 0.1x, the median was 0.35x, and buy 36 alone returned 8.79x with a x96 pool.

FAQ

8 questions · answered from the log
Is 120.76% against a declared 97.17% a sign the game pays above its rate?
Lab answer

No, one spin is. Round 2734 returned 2,450 in a 2.00 game, a tenth of the run's payout, and the 95% interval of 88.3 to 153.3% is wide for that reason. Without that round the same log returns 108.5%; another 10,000 spins could land under 97% as easily.

A base spin at 1,225x with no free spins: how?
Lab answer

Four cascades collected 0.8x, 1.6x, 2.0x and 0.5x, then a gift box marked x500 was on the screen when the cascade ended. The rules apply the box total to the whole win of the spin, so 4.9x became 2,450 on a 2.00 stake, 1,225x.

Multiplier pool: what changes in free spins?
Lab answer

Boxes no longer multiply on the spot. Each new box adds its value to a pool that never resets during the round, and a spin is multiplied by the pool plus the new box only when a fresh box lands. Spin 10 of the 2048 round paid 1,445.7 that way, with the pool at x65.

With the feature set aside, what did base play return?
Lab answer

72.73% of stake. The free spins added 48 points to reach 120.76%, and 68.9% of spins paid nothing; the biggest base hits were the 1,225x on round 2734 and 100x on rounds 2664 and 6304, all three from gift boxes.

Buying free spins for 100x: what did fifty rounds show?
Lab answer

A 1.06x average that one round carries. Buy 36 ran 25 spins with a x96 pool and returned 8.79x; the other 49 together returned 0.90x, the median was 0.35x, and 36 of 50 lost money. The 300x and 500x versions with a starting pool were not tested.

Extra spins inside the feature: how often did they come?
Lab answer

27 of the 68 natural rounds and 25 of the 50 bought ones. Three clovers in one spin add five spins, so rounds ran 15, 20, 25 or 30 spins; the natural average was 17.8 spins, the longest bought round 35.

How long was the worst wait for a bonus?
Lab answer

581 spins, from round 3498 to round 4079. The shortest gap was 2 spins, and the average over the run was one trigger per 147 spins.

Fixed stakes of 50, 100 and 200 bets: when did they run dry?
Lab answer

Inside the first thousand spins, all three. The 50-bet stake emptied at spin 203, 100 bets at spin 291, 200 bets at spin 853, and the run bottomed out 284 bets under the start on spin 1076, before the x100 and x500 boxes arrived.
