Buffalo King Megaways
This Buffalo King Megaways review pairs a free demo with 28 logged free-spin rounds, a 116.52% measured RTP and a 484.7x base hit that arrived before the first bonus.
Both test series finished ahead, yet neither offered a smooth path: a 200-bet budget failed before the first free spins, and one purchase supplied more than the entire buy-series profit.

One buy costs the same as 100 base spins. Natural bonuses arrived once per 357 spins in this run and paid an average of 117.6x the bet; bought bonuses averaged 124x the bet. These are different entry costs, not a prediction of which route will pay more.

How it plays
7 rules screens from the gameSix main reels determine the ways count, which can reach 200,704. The outside reels hold up to seven symbols; the middle four can hold eight when the upper strip is included. That upper strip moves independently from right to left, while paying combinations run from the leftmost main reel across adjacent reels. The canyon wild substitutes for ordinary symbols and appears on reels two to five.
A winning spin starts a tumble sequence. Paid symbols disappear, replacements fall into the gaps and the game checks for another win without taking a new stake. The sequence stops when no further combination pays; the accumulated result is then credited.
Four, five or six BONUS coins award 12, 17 or 22 free spins respectively, alongside a trigger payment of 5x, 20x or 100x the ordinary bet. Three or more coins inside the feature add five spins. Buying the feature costs 100 ordinary stakes and can produce any of those three starting awards.
During free spins, wilds arrive with 2x, 3x or 5x values. Qualifying wild multipliers accumulate across a tumble sequence and multiply together, with the resulting factor applied to that sequence's total win. This is a multiplier for a tumble sequence, not a counter that rises simply because another free spin starts. Normal play has a 5,000x cap, which ends the round and any remaining feature play when reached.
Ante Bet raises the charge from 20 to 25 bet units and doubles the natural feature-entry chance stated in the rules. Purchases are unavailable while that option is on. The captured English rules list 96.52% RTP for ordinary play, 96.49% for Ante Bet and 96.50% for purchases; this test used ordinary play and purchases only.

Verdict
who it suits, who should skip itThe positive finish came too late for a small starting balance. In the stop-at-zero bankroll calculation, 50 stakes ran out on spin 168, 100 on spin 251 and 200 on spin 450. The first natural feature did not arrive until round 1267, although the 484.7x base result on round 1020 had already lifted the full test balance. A profitable final ledger therefore says little about how much of the opening stretch a smaller budget could withstand.
The purchase result needs an equally close look. Buy 21 paid USD 2,932.40 and finished after its original 12 free spins; it did not need a retrigger to become the largest of the fifty. The entire purchase series earned USD 2,418, less than that one payout. Remove both the cost and return of buy 21, and the other 49 entries lose USD 314.40, despite the headline 124.18% return for all fifty.
Ordinary play's 116.52% return sits inside a wide 95% interval of 87.24% to 145.80%, which also contains the declared 96.52% profile. There were 7,429 zero-return rounds, and the final natural feature at 8128 was followed by 1,872 rounds without another. The demo is useful for examining how tumble wins settle and how wild factors combine; these particular profits are a record of the sample, not a reason to expect the same finish.
- Ordinary spins alone supplied five payouts of 120x or higher
- The 28 natural bonuses had a 65.2x median free-spin payout
- Separate rules disclose the ordinary, Ante Bet and purchase RTP profiles
- The first natural bonus followed 1,266 rounds without one
- A USD 200 entry returned less than its cost in 29 of the 50 purchases
- The largest purchase determined whether the buy sample finished in profit
- Peak-to-trough drawdown reached 647.2 ordinary stakes despite the positive finish
- Before any natural feature appeared, round 1020 returned 484.7x from ordinary play. The first bonus followed on round 1267.
- The natural bonuses on rounds 1347 and 1351 were only four rounds apart; the full series nevertheless averaged one trigger per 357.1 rounds.
- Buy 21 returned USD 2,932.40 from a USD 200 entry, with twelve starting spins and no extension. Its payout exceeded the USD 2,418 profit of the entire purchase sample.
- All three extended natural features began with twelve spins and finished with seventeen: rounds 2544, 3343 and 6409. Five purchased features started with seventeen, so length alone cannot identify a retrigger.

FAQ
6 questions · answered from the logWhat makes the displayed ways count change?
Each fresh spin can use different reel heights. The 200,704 figure is the ceiling, not a fixed number of paylines on every turn. Winning matches must still start on the leftmost reel and continue across neighbouring reels; the upper strip contributes symbols to the middle four.
Can several wild factors exceed 5x?
Their values multiply together across a qualifying free-spin tumble sequence. For example, 2x, 3x and 5x combine to 30x if all three qualify in that sequence. The game applies the accumulated factor to the sequence total, so reading only the last wild value misses how the award is calculated.
Did a 22-spin purchase beat every 12-spin purchase?
No. The largest purchase, number 21, used twelve spins and paid USD 2,932.40. That is 14.662 times the USD 200 entry price. More spins provide more opportunities, but the length of the feature did not rank its payout in this test.
Does the 116.52% result mean this demo has a winning RTP setting?
The tested setting declares 96.52%, and the measured figure comes from a finite sample containing a 1,249.6x complete round. Its 95% interval, 87.24% to 145.80%, includes that declared value. The observed surplus does not establish a long-run player advantage.
Can the Ante Bet and the buy button be used together?
No. Switching to the 25-unit option disables purchases and raises a USD 2 ordinary stake to USD 2.50. The rules attach a doubled natural trigger chance to that higher charge. All ordinary rounds in this review used the 20-unit setting.
Would the purchase sample stay profitable without buy 21?
The remaining 49 buys cost USD 9,800 and returned USD 9,485.60, a loss of USD 314.40. This calculation removes the USD 200 cost as well as the USD 2,932.40 payout of buy 21. It shows where this sample earned its profit; it is not a forecast for another set of 49 purchases.
